Starcraft Marine Portrait
Had always been a big fan of Blizzard's Starcraft, I started playing it since I was a child. This is a Starcraft Marine Fan Art I painted about a month ago. I'm going to leave it in grey scale for now. Reference used for her suit. Roughly 6 hours of digital painting.
Below are step by step process painting "Starcraft Marine Portrait"
I started out with a basic sketch of her suit armor. Then added basic shadow and highlights. Slowly moved on to details, especially the face i.e scars and textures on the suit. Midway through the painting I realized I kinda screwed up her nose and lips, they look too big and non-feminine... so I re-painted and made them smaller. Adjusted contrast and curves for final touch.
